Hot Potatoes Version 6

The Hot Potatoes home page is located at the University of Victoria. You can also get registration keys by clicking on the "Registration" link on that page.

The Hot Potatoes suite includes six applications, enabling you to create interactive multiple-choice, short-answer, jumbled-sentence, crossword, matching/ordering and gap-fill exercises for the World Wide Web. Hot Potatoes is not freeware, but it is free of charge for publicly funded, non-profit, educational users who make their pages available on the web. Other users must pay for a licence.

Hot Potatoes was created by the Research and Development team at the University of Victoria Humanities Computing and Media Centre. Commercial aspects of the software are handled by Half-Baked Software Inc.

The Half-Baked Software Hot Potatoes pages are primarily concerned with licences for the Hot Potatoes and those users of Hot Potatoes who do not qualify to use the software for free. Click on links on the menu to find about more about licences.
